The Bosnian War

Summary

Following the break-up of Yugoslavia, the Serbs and Croats fought the Bosnian War in what is present day Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992-1995. The United States was instrumental in bringing peace to Bosnia by hosting the peace negotiations in Dayton, OH and participating in the NATO led peace-keeping force that occupied Bosnia and Herzegovina from December 1995 through December 1996.
