Mini Grants for Course Enrichment


The Dole Institute of Politics seeks to support course enrichment using the Dole Archives.  Goals of the program include:

  • Encouraging long-term reciprocal partnerships with the KU community
  • Supporting courses in any discipline and at all levels
  • Expanding experiential learning opportunities for KU students
  • Fostering small-scale projects or activities utilizing resources from the Dole Archives

Applications and Deadlines

The deadline for applying is August 15. 

Complete applications include:

  • Narrative of no more than 500 words describing the course and how often it is offered, how the Dole Archives would be integrated, and how students would benefit.
  • Resume or CV

Eligibility and Expectations

KU faculty and staff with ongoing teaching roles at KU are eligible and encouraged to apply. 

Awardees will:

  • Work with Dole Archives staff to collaboratively develop course activities
  • Bring their class to the Dole Institute at least once during the Fall 2025 semester
  • Submit a short blog post before the end of the semester about using the archives

Use of Funds

Grantees will be offered a mini grant of $500 for a KU business purpose (including taxable summer salary). Funds will be disbursed once awardee has visited with their class and submitted blog post.
